Discussion:
Are 100 year old mint stamps in a "Citation Stamp Album" worth anything?
(too old to reply)

Top of the day mates,

My uncle died and left me a huge stamp album with thousands of both
American and International stamps.

Some of them are loose in sacks, and others are pasted into the huge
album.

Are these sellable? One of them for example is a dark blue five cent
stamp with Roosevelts picture on it. Another one is a five cent stamp
with the picture of Winston Churchill. It is a Gray colored stamp.

Are stamps like these worth anything to people? If not, I can just
throw them out.

Over and out!

Peace

Visit your local library or stamp club and check for yourself.

The two you roughly describe aren't -=100 years old=-, and by the very
general description - are fairly 'common', eg: minimal value.

OTOH, -=IF=- you do have good material lurking, you wouldn't "throw them
out".

If you still decide to 'trash', cosider donating to Goodwill or other
charity.

Note too, that stamps of $0.20 or so represent a 'handling charge' and are
not even counted into value when 'pricing' an album!

G'day, Don't just throw those stamps. I suggest getting a local dealer, or
stamp club, to give an appraisal for you. From the sound of things you've
nothing to lose, and everything to gain. Regards, Ron.
